Hello everyone! I apologize for my absense. I've just been very busy for the last few months, so I put this on the back burner for a while. But here I am, once again! So let's get started.....
Starting with the skirt! I found this skirt on sale at Kohl's. The lining stops at the knee, giving it an unexpected twist. I think a maxi skirt such as this is a great option for staying cool but skipping the usual go to shorts.
And did I mention the braided belt with beads and feathers adorning it came with the skirt?
If you're looking for a fun yet classy nail polish I'm wearing Poison Apple from Claire's. Although I should warn you that you must wear two coats or it will look spotty and see-through.
An interesting tidbit about my earrings is that they're actually 4th of July earrings. So it just goes to show that you can still find ways to wear some of your "holiday" jewelry in the everyday.
Oh by the way! I cut my hair! At first I wasn't going to go so short but it turns out I love it. And it's so much easier to style.
Here's a song that I have been just a little obsessed with for the last few weeks....I hope you enjoy it:)
Why hello there! I hope everyone's had a great weekend so far! As we're all slowly transitioning from winter into spring so are clothing stores! If you're looking to get a new winter coat for next year, now is the PERFECT time to look! With all the new merchandise coming in, the winters coats and jackets are being put on sale for unbelievable prices.
Here is a prime example of a great deal. I found this coat at Rue 21 for only $7!
The great sales is a good excuse to find a more unusual coat than you'd typically purchase.
So get out there, and sale hunt!
A little history about the park this was shot in today! My mom hung out here a lot as a kid. It's known for it's great snow sledding hills. At the turn of the century this park had a beautiful old carousel. One of it's surviving horses is in a local museum.
Hello everyone! I hope everyone's having an awesome Friday!!! My post today is beach inspired! Even though it's way too cold for the beach I'll daydream about it anyways!
As you can see I'm not really at the beach. This is our youth room.
Style tip: Does your outfit look like it's missing something? Try a hat! It's an easy way to make an outfit complete. And don't think you can't pull off a hat. You probably just haven't found the right one for your face shape.
Adding bright sweater over all black makes your an outfit pop.
I know it doesn't look like it here but it was SUPER COLD!!!!! Funny thing is that it's been up in the 60s a couple of days this week. Just my luck I chose today to take my pictures. At least it wasn't raining and other things...
As you can see I went to the park today! Lucky for me it was mostly deserted, expect for the dog park.
I love this sweater, it has a 70s vibe.
Oh, and I also got it for $4 at Rue 21!
Every girl needs to own at least one pair of black pants. And a dark purple heel is a great alternative to a black heel.
A fun way to update your classic pearl accessories is to combine a couple of different rich colors.
Oh! By the way, a good tip for not tripping in your favorite heels to place most of your weight on the balls of your feet. That's also good to keep in mind when walking on grass, or mulch.
I used to love this song when I was little, because I was a flower girl twice:)
Well another week has come and gone, to my surprise. I usually start my week out thinking of all the things I need to, and will, get to in the following days. Although when it's finally the end of the week I feel as though I didn't get much done. Even though I've accomplished all my tasks at hand. Maybe everyone feels that way. Any-who here's my look for the day!
First of all, aren't these pants cool? I got them at Rue 21 for $4. At first I didn't think they would look good, but it turns out I love them and they're very comfy. Moral of my story: clothes look different on the hanger than on you.
If you plan on wearing printed pants wear a solid top. Because if you have two patterns going on at once it tends to look clownish.
And also if you want elongate your neckline wear dangling earrings, the longer the better.
Hello to those of you reading! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and fantastic New Year! I know I did! But now that all of that chaos fun is over I'm slowly getting back to my blogs with new found inspiration. Maybe it's the cold winter air, or the rush of making five New Year's resolutions(no, not a misprint, five resolutions). Whatever the reason, I'm thankful for the inspiration.
I found this poncho in Target for $7. I like how it has all these different places in the U.S. printed on the front. By the way it's has a convenient little hood as well.
My boots were a Christmas present from my parents from Rue 21. It's now one of my favorite stores. I went in a couple days after Christmas to spend some of my Christmas money and found 3 items I loved, each for only $4!!!
The jeans are Candie's. Word to the wise though, be prepared for the color to be altered after the first wash. But if you're okay with the color not be exactly the same they are super comfortable and soft.
The pearl bracelet is Candie's, and was a Christmas present from my brother and sister-in-law. I think it's cool how it has a modern twist with the metal parts in between the pearls.
Here is the song referenced in my blog title a.k.a my favorite Beatles song:)
I hope you're all having a good start to the best month of the year! Maybe you'll celebrate by watching a Christmas classic, like Rudolph, or It's a Wonderful Life. Maybe you'll put up your Christmas tree, or sing some carols. Or maybe if you're like me you'll update your fashion blog with an equally festive setting for the 1st day of December.
There's just something about this cami I love! Probably the fact that it's tastefully combined my two favorite fabrics; plaid and lace!
Instead of pairing it with the predictable jeans I pulled it over a simple black dress and leggings!
Not only is this outfit cute, it's also the perfect reindeer riding outfit!
